I can care less about what a rapper has. That's doesn't help me in life. But a lot of people claim that sale = impact and success. My point if you read the whole conversation was Lupe didn't have an issue with Atlantic about getting jerk for money like most rappers. It's about creativity control with his music.

Actually that was part of the issue. The reason he lost creative control is because he refused to switch over to a 360 deal.

Lol bruh...the whole convo started because I said Lupe should sign with TDE. Homie said if anything Ab-soul should sign with Lupe. Then I said they'll both sell like 5 copies lol which is true. Lupe ain't selling like he use to and Ab-soul ain't never moved units like that so how is that beneficial to either of them? I never once equated sales to quality. I was just pointing out that Lupe doesn't have the juice like he use to--which his numbers reflect.

I was speaking on a purely artistic point of view. They would make incredible music. Fuck sales

Both albums are great, but lupes is more complete while kendricks has a good, direct message.

I liken TPAB to F&L2, not by quality but by approach they are similar IMO.

Tetsuo is better, high replay value great beat selection and every time im alone with the cd i find a new gem.

TPAB had more overall points than T&Y. I think Lu had more first place points than Dot, but Dot was on just about on everybody's list somewhere. That wasn't the case with Lupe. ie. 6 second place votes were still worth more than 5 first place votes.

I consider Kendrick's album to be a black music experience from front to back. He had bars too. T&Y was an ok album, but it was bland to me. The production was redundant in spots on the album. Also some tracks Lupe didn't really do the songs justice lyrically in my opinion.

Both artists are similar in the sense that both of their previous albums are better than their current ones.
