Can tip make a cut like this ? On the slow tempo beat ?

U serious? :joy:

I'm referring to the depth of writing with Baltimore Love Thing among other records. 50 got way more songs like that. Tip can't write like 50 can and that's not a diss to Tip, 50 just got that shit to a science.

I could drop mountains of songs 50 got like that not sure I can do the same for Tip

Nigga I quoted "Ryder Music"

Both them tracks Ryder music and Baltimore Love Thing. Tip can't write records like that better than 50 can. 50 you can argue can't spit as well as Tip but Tip can't write like 50 no way.

Funny how u were going hard body for a rapper who is well known to use ghostwriters to all of a sudden using writing as a main factor :joy:

Who?

Drake and Kanye

on a technical level, TI is a better rapper...and thats how i've been voting this entire time.

not who has the most hits.

not who sold the most records.

not who had a bigger peak.

the better RAPPER.

@Sion please expain how 50 reinvented, as you put it "the savage young black male with nothing to lose and everything to gain with a drive to do it in the most violent way possible aaaalll for public consumption and entertainment."

When X whose whole career was that style and was still gonna plat (Grand Champ) when 50 dropped, off the same goddamn style.

You a 50 fan cool but he ain't reinvent shit.

X was more on the hype and party shit, he was a thug but X wasn't shot 9 times, didn't beef with every rapper in his home state and abroad, and didn't market his gangster image the way 50 Cent did. 50 made it into a fuckin business plan and used it to license his image to the highest bidder getting shoe deals, clothing lines, perfumes, video games, condoms, cars all that shit. He selling point was violence.

If you don't like 50 fine but you were either born in the mid to late 90s or lived under a rock if you missed all those things from 2002-2009. 50 Cent was a fuckin enigma AND he had Eminem backing him !? Shiiiieeeeetttt

Do I have to post more to show you how 50 reinvented the wheel ? Objectivity is hard to come by on here cuz niggas despise rappers they don't like. I could write just as openly about Tip's accomplishments and contributions to the game as I can 50. But you have to respect the 2 are different people and have different advantages over one another.

Was your first introduction to DMX Party Up? Cuz you buggin if think X was more on "the party shit".

I said early that 50 made that style more popular then any other rapper before and since him (maybe other than 2Pac). But he didn't reinvent that style, like you said Pac and X was already multi platinum artist with that same style. Did 50 milk the whole shot 9X's thing yeah, but you fuckin' crazy if you think Pac didn't do the exact same thing after the Quads joint. Shit Pac laid the blueprint on how to milk getting shot, Troy Ave ain't mimicking 50 getting shot.

He didn't invent it he definitely reinvented how he marketed his appeal and image without question. I think you're misinterpreting what "reinvent" means fam no diss.

None of them are mimicking each other, the whole shit with the merchandising from mineral water to condoms to clothes to sex toys NH to video games no one had done it like that before.

X was multi platinum and all that yes but his whole MO wasn't based on violence and business for that matter. I clearly stated that 50 built off of what they produced and contributed, and contributed his own twist to it. I think your issue confusing that he "invented" with reinvent or just don't want to give 50 credit for anything. That being said we're gonna end up going in circles.

Slipping is my favorite DMX song. You can feel the passion. That's why being a better rapper is not all about lyrics. Flow, passion, and content count as well.

If a nigga was mad lyrical talking about sucking dicks. He would not be on here right now

Again you're comprehension skills fam. X's entire selling point was not based on the fact that he was shot 9 times, beefing with rappers or violence. He actually had a sentimental spot. Yes he obviously used violence and claimed himself to be a thug but it wasn't his only selling point. Trying to use an album cover to make that distinction is a disrespeck to DMX and shows either you didn't listen to the whole album or your comprehension isn't all the way there. X have you party up, but could show you records like Slippin because he could relate to your struggles or the frustration of dealing with women you couldn't trust (what these bitches want), on another he could use horrorcore and switch it up. I'm not debating who's harder than who NH.

Do you even know what we're talking about anymore ? This isn't about X vs 50 this was originally about 50 Cent reinventing what Pac and X produced to fit his own narrative with his own twist. Niggas went off on a tangent bringing them up and I just wanted to state 50 did in fact have his own method and style. This is supposed to be about Tip vs 50..... DMX and 50 Cent aren't even comparable except for the genres they represented. Each of them are respected but this not about those 2 it's about 50 and Tip

My comprehension skills?

Nigga you keep bring up how successful 50 monetized that style/image. No one is disagreeing w/ you about that. But 50 didn't reinvent that image or style he's just been more successful, monetarily, than a X or Pac with that image. That's what your not comprehending.
