If you want to turn this into a debate - 50 Cent opened the door for T.I. to be embraced commercially the way he was. Think about that because all of the things that happened to T.I. shouldn't have been allowed but here we are.

What does this have to do with who's the better rapper? NWA opened the door for all these niggas.

50 Cent generated the interest for a rapper like him to be as widely accepted imo. Tip may have came out but he wouldn't have been going multi platinum. 50 Cent cultivated the era of labels looking for the savage young black male with nothing to lose and everything to gain with a drive to do it in the most violent way possible aaaalll for public consumption and entertainment.

What I will give Tip props for tho is inventing trap music. But at the same time 50 Cent invented the mixtape grind format. Where NWA and 50 differ is NWA was about social commentary and social ills facing black people and hypocritical censorship. 50 Cent was purely about overcoming all odds and doing it by any means necessary no matter who got hurt and why. That's why his beefs were so well publicised, people wanted to see Fif end up like Pac.

Nah, I would say as DMX was starting to fade 50 came in and took the baton. 50 didn't reinvent anything, he was just probably the biggest rapper to have that aggressive/street style since Pac. If anything he was that person to have any real big success with that style.

U know 50 got this one. Its ok mane. To keep it 100 ive followed both T.i. and 50s careers closely from the beginning of the their careers. But out of both musically i rock with 50 more. But id still put T.i. in a top 20 DOA list

If this tournament is about all of the things that define a rapper then Lupe shouldn't have made it out the pools. Is this about rap ability, impact or all of those things ? Because if it is based on bars 50 Cent shouldn't be beating T.I. and you can vouch I'm a 50 Cent stan and proud of it. Lupe is a great lyricist but he doesn't do well with coherence or constructing good albums. Kendrick Lamar has the most consistent discography I've seen since OutKast and Kanye West. Not only that but Kendrick has made a much larger footprint on culture and rap music than Lupe has.
