Hmm...

How about teaching your kid conflict resolution and not hanging around fucked up and broken people?

Perhaps instead of forcing him to deal, you get a better job and move him out of that district.

You willing to pay 150+ a month to teach the boy to defend himself, yet wont pay that lil bit of extra change in rent or mortgage to move him to a better area?

Yes there are fucked up people everywhere, but if lil man feels the need to be THAT involved with broken people then YOU are teaching him that it is ok.

Good luck.

so moving is the best solution?

is that not running away or what?

u believe there aren't bullies in better neighborhoods that would still require u to know how to physically defend urself?

what type of silver spoons shit dream are u trying to sell this nigga?

Dawg...

I am not telling him to run, i am telling him to put hs child in a better environment where the nuclear family is the social norm, and then he can actually have the lifestyle his father obviously wants for him.

Seems to me his peers are giving him hell just because he has 2 parents at home.

bruh I get what u attempting to advise him to do

but moving to a higher income neighborhood ain't gon necessarily fix this type of problem........especially if the new community only cost $150 more......and especially if he move into another neighborhood with similar demographics

it's rich kids from good stable homes out here trying to bully their peers too just saying

Rich kids are the worst

Thought I was moving my son to a better neighborhood with a great school because it was a pricy area for Austin

Those kids were horrible

No bullying but drugs ...like pills and powder ...and spoiled disrespectful behavior as they drove off if their BMW

Kids with parents who could afford to send their child to UT without a single dime of financial aide ....and they dropped out of high school cause they didn't want to go to class ?!?????!!!

Fortunately my son is smart and peeped game to those worthless brats

Change your environment dawg. If your kid is worrying about defending himself he is probably around a bunch of aspire to be nothing BeBe's kids too. Put him in an environment where learning is his priority.

Learning should always be the absolute number 1 priority in any enviroment, especially in his current one. But that also is heavily predicated by the conduct of his teacher, being his father and other leaders he's around. A change of environment serves no purpose if that is not instilled into that young man...

I woke up this morning and the first thing I saw was my son in my room punching the walls with his new boxing gloves lol he is keen to learn now.

My thoughts exactly, the 2 kids that he gets on with the best have mums and dads at home.

dawg, you gotta teach him that not everyone is going to be his friend, he needs to be accepting of the word "no."

and most importantly, leave broken ass people the hell alone, start teaching him now how to be a good judge of character. let miserable people be miserable by their damn selves. aint no Dojo in the world gon teach him that cause of the hive mind.

Great advice I have been doing this a lot lately, had a big talk with him yesterday about friendship and the meaning of it, he even seemed to take it in more than he usually does.

It is not the style, but how you are trained by the teacher. Boxing, kickboxing(sanshou, muay Thai, savate, Burmese kickboxing, Dutch kickboxing),judo, sambo, catch wrestling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu,wrestling, etc are all sport and will get you ready for fair or unfair unarmed fighting. Karate, taekwondo, ku fung, capoeira, traditional judo/ ju jujitsu(jujutsu), combat sambo, silat,Kali(escrima), will focus on overall combat and awareness. Silat-kali(escrima) will focus on knives, sticks, cane's more from the start of training.

Jiu Jitsu is an universal fighting system. It was made for the weak to win over a stronger person. This is the basic for him to defend himself. If he wishes to go beyond that he needs to learn striking than he must do MMA.But if he does not learn Jiu Jitsu that´s like fighting with an arm behind your back all the time.Jiu Jitsu is the most perfect fighting system just google the only martial arts all MMA FIGHTER CHAMPION GOT ATLEAST A BROWN BELT MOST GOT A BLACK BELT.

Jon jones, Demetrius Johnson are white belts technically. There is no perfect system. Every martial art has strong and weak points. Just focus on getting better overall and learn as much as you can.

Jones and Johnson both have very technically sound jiu-jitsu tho. Jones has won high level BJJ tournaments.

Johnson in the best fighter on the planet as far as I'm concerned. Jones might be the second best, if he get his shit together.

Johnson coach is a catch wrestling trained and one of the best martial arts coach in the world. Jones only been defeated by himself. He just started training in a gi last year sometime.

Wrestling

He only going to learn take downs, slams and how to control someone from top position.

from a pure combat standpoint it may no be the best, but from a standpoint as sport to build strength and toughness, its hard to argue against wrestling. And in sport fighting, wrestling is still one of the best sports build your base from.
