It's almost unfair to the other albums in the list that you included the purple tape...it's a masterpiece

Most of the other albums listed are classics in my opinion....

The Big L album is probably the most slept on & underrated out of everything listed though

Sonically one could argue that all D.I.T.C. releases had that same gritty sound at that time

Can't go wrong with any really. A bunch of great albums from all over. Here are a few that come to mind that weren't listed and deserve some recognition:

I know I'm in the minority but I like Rude Awakening more than Dah Shinin. That's an underrated album.

I still bump Won on Won and Spanish Harlem but I think that Dah Shinin is the better of the two.
