Here in Indo people are suprised if you show up on time lol, even business wise. Trade meetings n mofos show up 30 min later with no fucks given...

I havent been on time for shit the past 5 years lol. Dont wanna be the idiot thats waiting...

Hate being late and wish I was on time more; more often than not though it's due to external circumstances but with that being said I should be putting say 30mins contingency to whatever is considered "on time" to mitigate that, so it really ends up being my fault in the end.

I definitely agree with the other poster saying timeliness is learned from parents. Both my parents worked hard but they also worked for themselves so got to their business when they needed to, not a specific time, and didn't leave till it was done.

They weren't clock watchers and I find especially in corporate some people are too concerned with with people coming it on time (e.g. 9am) rather than those who are effective in their workload or stay behind to put in extra hours to get in done.

Being on time is important to me. If I'm hosting something like a party or get-together or whatever the occasion is and you're early, that tells me that you give a damn. As others have said on here, you may be arriving late due to circumstances. As long as you explain it to the point of contact about the situation, there isn't an issue. I'll tell ya, I saw on show where they had mentioned the phrase, "15 minutes early is late." I use that philosophy in my everyday life.

Outside of work and important appointments Im usually late. But the funny thing is I still end up waiting on niggas. I be like how I'm 10 minutes late and still the 1st one here?

If you're not early, you're late. Timing is some wild shit. It's too competitive out here to fool around. And ain't no telling what can happen on your trip to your destination. And no one one likes waiting on other people, so put that extra effort in when necessary.

I was late to work today. My coworker gonna ask why I was walking casually like I was on time. Why not? I'm already late, I sat down at home and ate some food and everything. Might as well make sure I'm straight if I'm already late somewhere lol.

It really depends on the situation. If decisions need to be made, or money is on the table, I'm there.

If its a social situation or im coming to chill, yeah, I take my time, because I usually have a million other things I need to do other than hanging out with people, so I try to dabble before I head out... That doesnt mean I dont respect your time, just that im stubborn about sacrificing my own. That's why eta's i give are strictly estimates.

I was always late to school, I liked to be the last kid in class so everybody would see me walk in and laugh at me not caring... It was bad, but I dont regret it. And if my teacher was strict, I would be there on time, it just when I knew I could get away with it.

But really it doesnt take much to be on time, if you are habitually late to work or other things that your livelihood depends, its because you dont give a fuck about your job and dont respect your superiors.

It's lame though to leave people hanging like if you are meeting somewhere public, like a restaurant, that's fuck shit.
