While I'm always on time or early (15 mins)

I also am of the belief that don't shit really matter until after I arrive so......

I hate being late.

I'm early for everythinif I'm late it's usually an force outside myself that caused it.

I like to respect peoples time.

Im always early. Clocks in my house and car are 10 mins fast.

If i arrive at a party for 3 and people arent showing up/things arent set up by 3:15 im out.

Shits digusting.

Yeah, I'm big on being on time, respecting other people's time and people respecting mine. It's not possible to NEVER be late, so I try not to be too hard on people.

But..

Is timeliness a quality you possess? Is it important to you that you arrive on time and prepared for whatever plans you have?

How about in your S/O? Should they be on time and prompt?

If it's one thing I can't stand..it's a late MFer that walks in and acts like its no big deal.

...I'll spazz out on a nigga for not respecting my time and then acting like it's not a big deal or acting like I'm bugging for mentioning it.

If you work over 40+ hours in a week whether it be school and work or work, you know how valuable even 30 minutes are....

I make it a point to never be late and I hate people that show no type of emotion when they are consistently late

I thought this thread was gonna be about Heidegger.

I can be timely, but I have to give a shit. I'm frequently late to things I don't care much about or that don't have consequences for being late.

I will occasionally be late. Yesterday i was super sore from going back to the gym for the first time in a few weeks so i took my time getting to work and ended up being 10 mins late to clock in lol. Usually im either right on time or a few mins early.

If its something important like a meeting, training, or something along those lines i always show up early though.

Ya'll need to relax and stop acting like you can't get that 10-15 mins back

For me it's more than just losing 10-15 minutes. I said I would be there at a certain time and you can bet on it I WILL be there at a certain time. It's about keeping to your word. After a while of someone being tardy I won't believe them and I also won't make plans to meet up with them because their word can't be trusted.

Only on the IC where everybody is always on time. That's why this place is perfect b. We get shit done

When it comes to meetings I'm always on time but usually early. If I gave you my word on a time, I'm there. I'll break my neck (figuratively) getting there if I gave my word on it.

But.......In many other situations, it depends. I'm involved in so many last minute change of plan situations that it would drive a highly structured person mad. I'm involved in so many Unplanned for late night situations it would drive a highly structured person mad. I've been involved in so many family "oh shit hurry up" and you rush to get there and when you get there nobody ready situations I gave up on that area. Overtime dealing with those situations has turned me into an "I'll get there when I get there person" if I haven't promised on the time because a lot of ppl want me to be everywhere at once.

It's a balance between not letting people use you up but doing things so impactful for ppl that the $$$ keeps flowing and they basically just deal with the fact the I'm going to do what I want when I want.....or I'm going to be there on time and ONLY do what we agreed to and nothing more.

If you want this extra level of last minute action from me on top of any other original agreement or in lieu of a previous non-agreement then (and I'm sick of u asking and want you to stfu) you gotta deal with my bullshit on my terms at my whim. If you don't like it then don't ask or ask someone else. The choice is yours. Either way, you pay.

I'm on time to work and Dr appt... otha than that I'll be there when I get there

this me.. i like to be atleast 10-15 mins early for work/ appt.. but other than that naw. especially in offdays

I've had issues with getting to work on time, started losing jobs because of it(directly/indirectly). Fucked up life with my family. Had to learn some life lessons and am a lot better with timeliness.

I do think that timeliness is learmed from parents. I remember my mom always running late for work (still does) but the jobs she's had weren't going to serve real consequences, so i didn't learn the value of being on time until I stated losing shit as an adult.
