There are those who profit and stay in power based on their ability to breed division amongst the masses. If it wasn't skin color...they would use some other superficial difference ( religion, political affiliation, zip code...anything ). Divisive idealogies are taught and learned through social conditioning. If someone puts a black baptist baby, a white catholic baby and a muslim baby in a play pen....they have no idea of their differences...nor do they care. They will play w/ each other...get along...all that. Society teaches them they are different and to hate others that don't look like or think like them. Shit is disgusting fam and too many people fall victim to the media, political and social mind games instead of examining things for what they truly are.

I would say that most people on this site are at least somewhat informed about black/white relations in America and the racist history and foundation that this country was built on. W/ that said, IMO only an arrogant idiot would not at least acknowledge and take ownership for his own actions or the actions of his people. A white man may have created the infrastructure & conditions for certain unfair practices and injustices to flourish in our communities but we also have to take responsibility for assisting w/ perpetuating the atmosphere/stereotypes. White men aren't running around the hood holding guns to kids heads saying "sell drugs and kill each other or else". I never received a letter in the mail from a white man saying "Hey ******* drop out of school, go knock up 3 different chicks and be a deadbeat dad...or else". I use those examples jokingly and truthfully they can apply to any race. My point is that we as a people cannot afford to perpetuate those stereotypes or continue to blame others for our own mistakes. We can't keep having this crab in a barrel mentality. There will always be forces designed to work against us moreso than any other group. What defines us is whether we use those things as a crutch or as motivation to overcome adversity. Some muphukas spend more time complaining about the problems than they do trying to resolve them. At the end of the day, the only color I see is green....the only people I don't fuck w/ are the ones that earned it.....the only people I dislike are the ones who gave me a reason too....and the only muphuka I hold accountable for me and my families wellbeing is myself. White man, black man, yellow man, green man throws up an obstacle in my way...I find a way around it. *shrugs*

When I first graduated college and was looking for a job, my cousin put me on to a few of his business connections. Give four examples of how the people acted towards me.

Black connect #1: Mentioned I was looking for a job...he asked my cousin why he didn't put me on with his job. Then got his assistant to ask me some questions and she let me know they weren't hiring new people. Then he said, in consolation for me to give my resume to my cuz and he'll get at me. Never heard from him again.

White connect #1: HR Manager at a consulting firm, gave me her card and fast tracked me to an interview in less than 2 weeks.

White connect #2: SES level government person, gave me his card and pulled some strings and set me up an interview in his department less than a week after I met him. I'd found a job on my the same week they called for the interview

White connect #3: Congressional liaison on capitol hill, gave me her card, we exchanged a few emails and she looked for openings for a while. Went quiet for about a month,then she let me know she couldn't find anything but she'd keep looking. At least she got back.

Not to say we don't look out for eachother, but white folks in my experience don't seem to have a problem doing so either.

Years ago I was driving in a car that had expired license tags AND an expired trip permit... In FACT, the trip permit was so old that the ink had faded away and it pretty much looked like I had a blank piece of paper stuck on my back window... And to top it off, my passenger wasn't wearing his seatbelt. Sooooo, this White cop pulled us over and wouldja believe this dude let me off with just a warning...
