That Mr Freeze episode had quotables for fuckin' days...

"You beg? In my nightmares I see my Nora behind the glass begging to me with frozen eyes. How I've longed to see that look frozen on you! "

"Sooner or later all who stand in my way must feel the icy touch of death! "

"It would move me to tears... If I still had tears to shed. "

"This is how I shall always remember you: surrounded by winter, forever young, forever beautiful. Rest well, my love. The monster who took you from me will soon learn that revenge is a dish... best served COLD. "

"I'm beyond emotions. They've been frozen dead in me. "

Also, the way they reinvented a third tier villain who was around for 30 years and made him one of Batman's greatest stories was fuckin' dope

got 3 out of 4 volumes on DVD I brainwashed my GF's 3 year old cousins into liking this cartoon.....fuck Volume 4 though....when it went to WB they really fucked up the animation

You crazy volume 4 had the best episode throughout the entire BTAS series..imo"over the edge"(it played out like a movie)
even if the whole thing was a dream sequence

I never had a problem with the WB version it seemed more japanime style than american, the drawing style was more sharp not as round and less detail not as colorful as the original for example the joker...But I can understand the prefrence to write off thee entire season or volume....nah

Back to "over the edge" this episode" is my favorite, but as a whole yes the fox orignal had better episodes hands down.

Almost Got Em >>>>

I Am The Night>>>>

His Silicon Soul>>>>

Trial>>>

A Bullet For Bullock>>>

Two Face Pt. 1>>>

Perchance To Dream>>>

Robin's Reckoning Pt. 1 & 2>>>

The Man Who Killed Batman >>>

all of these episodes are better than over the edge as far as I'm concerned

and lol @ Bane's sadomasochistic fetish gimp pulp fiction mask in the WB version....foh

Cant seem to edit my post so ill take back my statement about over the edge being the best episode to one of my favorites I jump the gun for a sec, forgot about clayface, two face part 1 &2 debut episodes and the ninja

That Baby doll episode was underrated. Batman TAS always had these villains that you could at least understand WHY they did the things they did.

Baby Doll was upset because she had a disease (think Gary Coleman) and she looked like she was 8 years old even though she was a grown woman. She was apart of a TV show, and was the most happiest during that time, so she kidnaps all her old castmates and takes them back to the set of the old show.

The ending was probably the goat ending in TAS history

This show had the best writing. It was wrote like a real tv series and not just a cartoon. I remember one episode where 2 face was talking to poison Ivy and he said the best line to her. lol

He was my favorite villian

batman TAS made Mr. Freeze character the most interesting hes ever been

batman : "freeze"

Mr. freeze: "thats Mr. Freeze to you"

I used to love this cartoon. Unfortunately The WB tv channel was starting up and all the good shows that was showing on fox was ending on that channel like animaniacs, Batman TAS and etc. Around that time is when TAS kept showing reruns before it stopped all together when The WB started. That had to be the best Batman cartoon series to air. I seen alot of influences from the cartoon used in the Batman movies.

that clay face episode was GOAT

and the one where Rhas just walked into the batcave and called batman bruce and spooked the shit outta of him had a young nigga like how he got into the cave...

some quotes

"Chance, Grace. Chance is everything. Whether you're born or not. Whether you live or die. Whether you're good or bad. It's all arbitrary." Two-Face

How about that Bats? You broke my face and got seven years of bad luck. Are you going to try for fourteen, or are you going to raise that anchor man out of the ocean?-joker

Don't touch me old man! I don't know where you've been.-joker

Does the pain ever go away? I want to say yes, but it will get better for you that i promise.-baman to robin (about his parents)

I threw a rock at 'im!-croc

I would say ladies first...but since there arent any...Ivy you go -joker

HEY! DO I HIT YOUR KIDS?!...Well, actualy I do... -joker

"Why don't you two eat each other or something?"-joker

"Don't I know you?"

"I served you with a subpoena once. It was a small subpoena."-harley quin to harvey bullock

the way this series crossed over into superman TAS and then transitioned into justice leauge and batman beyondand even static shocks universe was GOAT and we will probably never see 5 cartoons series crossover like that in an almost 15 year span

FREEZE WAS ILL AND HIS STORY REAL BUT ITS THE JOKER WE TALKIN ABOUT HERE

Freeze's stories were the best written, IMO. Also, Freeze wasn't on some "straight up villain shit." He's more long the lines of Magento. In the end, Magento was kinda like Malcolm, he was just looking out of his people, and since he saw the worst that humanity had to offer, via the camps, and what humanity was trying to do homo superior, his attitude was like, "Fuck it, by any means necessary," even if that meant the extermination of mankind. That was what was going on with Freeze, Freeze wasn't "bad," per se, he just wanted to bring his wife back. It's some very compelling shit.

I also feel that stories involving:

were comparable to

the-joker.jpg
