Barack Obama Thinks The Best "Wire" Character is Omar

I dunno man Omar, Weebay, or Bodie although I still never forgave Bodie for clapping Wallace.

But my other selection would have to be Lester Freamon, dude was getting his Sherlock Holmes on. I was happy that they had a brother playing the smart role.

This was a strategic attempt to support the Gay rights movement and pick a robin hood figure that only took from criminals. Picking a cop would have been a safe bet but Obama don't give a fuck about the pigs. Word to Henry Louis Gates.

Maybe so, but when you watched the wire, you knew that omar was that dude. I'm just glad they let his faggotry be understood and not display it on the screen every time. Never the less though when it did come up it was cringe worthy, I had to turn the channel a couple of times run off a minute and come back.

Speaking of which they could have had a couple more scenes with Greggs getting it in. I remember that one scene when she was at a hotel with a honey all on top of her buck nekkid gettin those tittays sucked. I must've DVR rewinded that 7 second moment like 20 times that hour.

not that you're the only person with this weird position, but this is edging into that "he protests too much" territory.

Not exactly, I let it stand where it stand. Omar was a faggot, but I could overlook that because he was a G, however I am not going to play audience to his faggotry, tis more than I can bear. I can't speak for everyone only for myself in saying that I have to turn away, it's repulsive. How you feel about it is entirely up to you.

Thanks to Omar I don't think I will ever underestimate a man living G code just off of his sexuality alone. If one were to honestly look at it, Spartans, Romans, and German barbarians openly practiced a homosexuality and rape culture, breeding with women was simply to continue the species, a necessity. All three cultures are known historically for their unrelenting brutality and fuck-you-uptitude. Despite their warrior attitude, I can't bring myself to respect their faggotry or Omar's. Is what it is dun.

Bodie could never make that jump from a pawn to a higher rank piece, that's why he got clapped on the corner on some alamo bullshit.

Stringer was the Michael Corleone of the group and Avon was too much like Sonny, lived for the violence.

Bodie only figured out that much because D put him on game. If Bodie knew he was a pawn then he should've known better because D told him pawns get clapped quick like the first few moves in the game.

Stringer Bell is arguably the greatest written character in The Wire if not t.v history. He has this larger than life persona, this is a gangster who spends his free time taking college courses and writing class papers. How many people predicted when they first saw Stringer that he'd be busy talking about Worldcom, taking Economics classes, talking about market saturation and breaking down the supply and demand of the drug trade?

Remember after Stringer died, McNulty went to his apartment and was amazed at how clean it was and how Bell had a copy of 'The Wealth of Nations'

Stringer by far is the best character.

Dun you'd be surprised at how many higher ups in the drug game have degrees in marketing and finance, and high level political influence.

This was that shit, Stringer was set to go godfather on B'More, but Clay Davis started leaking that dude for money, and then you Avon had him clapped.

In real life, yes. There are many drug dealers with all sorts of college degrees. I was talking about The Wire, the t.v show.

The Wire just surprised me with the complexity of characterization. The kept it so real, I can't even watch another police procedure drama. Later for law & Order and all that bullshit.

Yea Stringer was like Sherlock Holmes evil brother which is why its strange it never occurred to him that Avon might be looking to do him.

My only problem is that for as big a mastermind and manipulator that Stringer was, he never had contingency plans for X factors that might throw off the scheme.

Like for instance if he had put one of his men to shadow Omar when he put him on Bro. Mouzone trail, he could have nipped that in the bud from the jump, possibly taken out Omar and Mouzone.

I agree though Stringer was that dude.
