Maybe... Ive never heard of a female dying in battle. But when I was out there we had two guys get hit with an IED and another guy lose his leg. What's crazy was the guy who lost his leg had 6 months before he got out...smh

the reasons women werent allowed out on the front lines had nothing to do with them doing the job. The equipment is heavy but it doesnt take much to squeeze a trigger. A lot of the reason were about hygiene. Im sure yall are aware sometimes a gun fight can last more than 3 days straight. Thats three days of no showering you may get a break to fall back and eat or grab something out of a MRE.

You know men catch a break and hit their hot spots with some baby wipes and be ready to go in less than a minute. As we know if a woman cant thoroughly clean that thing the smell alone might kill her battle buddies.

See this is what i'm wondering

where are the chicks at who REALLY wanted this shit? Cuz I don't see a huge line of women begging to be let into Combat Arms/Special forces/what have you.

This differs from say integrating the military (blacks had served for years anyway unofficially and letting blacks in=a far bigger pool of troops) and the DADT repeal (Obama had to appease the Left and frankly, given that TONS of blatant homsexuals do indeed serve (pico prolly know all about that), DADT never made a lick of sense in the modern world anyway).

So is there anything that the DoD has to gain from this that i'm missing? Because.....i'm not too keen on "fair for fairs sake". fuck that. I like my military completely to be of the "most effective yet cheapest way to complete a task" mindset.

There probably aren't a lot of females who want to do this. But I'd bet there are some females who could. When I was in, I remember there were almost a small minority of women who not only were hella serious about fitness, but definitely had that physicality, bigger than and as close to as muscular as some guys.
