and yeah that "new" shit is annoying. it should only be showing up for threads you actually posted in, not just every thread you didnt check yet or have been to and has since had new posts.

That's pretty different from how any other forum software does read/unread tracking. Not sure I can agree on that.

and the "new" should be clickable, so it brings you to first new post since you posted.

Clicking the thread title automatically takes you to the last post you read. Page number buttons are for convenience only.

This has been suggested before, we're thinking about it.

Vanilla is not a feature-for-feature copy of vBulletin, remember that. We do some things they don't do, and vice versa. That is one of the features they have that we didn't place enough importance on to put in core. So that's the 'why'.

An exposure is when Mac (Ducky) and another lame by the name of Johnny Green (thechoice) hack your e-mail or FB and post your pics and other private info online... usually thereafter an abundance of posters that never did shit worth mentioning while on the IC come along and giggle like schoolgirls at what the aforementioned lames posted.

IC Exposure - Revealing information about a person that they don't want to be revealed.

Usually includes account hijacking (emails), and defamation of the person. In most cases it's the own persons fault, but last time there were some mod/admin accounts compromised which resulting in the exposures of some members. Some of them used the same passwords as the IC for other internet accounts. Notably FB.
