My edges are super kinky, so they don't really slick down like a girl with a looser texture. If your hair is kinky like mine and you want a slick-edge look, spritz with water or some other water-based leave-in and tie a scarf on it overnight or for at least 15 mins before you step out. ~Currently reading The Mask by Dean Koontz. A seemingly odd choice for me, but I got it for free and decided to give it a try. It's pretty good and the author writes well.

~Actually just did the ACV rinse last night whilst my hair was still twisted up. It's wonderful at removing product buildup and excess oils without totally stripping the hair as a sulfate-laden product would do. It's also good after a workout because it handles sweat well. I've found that it also decreases itchiness of the scalp. I ain't messed with a baking soda rinse in a long while, so I won't personally recommend it. Here's what you do for the apple cider vinegar rinse: Grab an empty water bottle and fill two thirds with water. Fill the remaining volume with the apple cider vinegar (or, conversely, use regular white vinegar as I've found it works just as effectively). Screw on the cap and shake the bottle well. Grab a knife and poke holes in the cap. Take the makeshift "shampoo bottle" into the shower with you and focus distributing it amongst your roots. Finger massage it into your scalp and rinse thoroughly. Scalp will proceed to feel like heaven. Love it!
