I'm 26 now and I already feel like My parents must have when I hear these new cats..........Lil Wayne, Drake, Soulja Boy, Gucci Mane, you can keep all that shit, I'll stick to lyrics that make sense......

Still a few cats doin it tho........Ludacris, Eminem, Nas, Jay......Underground Heads like Budden, Apathy......I heard Cypress hill got a new one comin, The Wu makin a comeback......Things could be worse, I just avoid the radio for the most part

Yes indeed..

I still spin the 90's and early 2000's.

I find myself listening to more reggae, classic oldies, and other shit that's relevant..

right now I've almost to the point where I dont listen to hip hop at all. The only hip hop artists I wouuld buy an album from if they were to drop tomorrow would be Kid Cudi, Outkast and The Roots. I listen to reggae, punk rock, and a lot of new soul post 2000

read most post and feel the same way as the majority

but you gotta face it, if u were lucky enuff to come up in that late 80's,90's,and early 2k era

you got the best hip hop could ever offer and it was and will never be a time period like that

for rap so i dont dis this era artist because they could never live up to what we had.well atleast

in our age bracket mind and it is hard to listen to most of them due to what we were used to a

year like 96 for example i mean that cant be duplicated.

True.........Its just a new era now, like an old head back in the day use to hate on Biggie and Snoop and them cause he grew up with LL and Run DMC and Public Enemy...... But damn, at least dudes made sense before now.......Even if I was young today, I cant see myself bumpin a Gucci Mane CD

Not really. but i do find myself listening to less mainstream hip hop. and more underground and 90's hip hop. but honestly alot of musical genres have fallen from what they used to be. which is why i also either listen to only underground or music from previous years of every other particular genre. because it seems like the only musical genre that has progressed over the years instead of regressing is electronica

Yes. I'm 27 and to be honest I tired of hearing all these niggas frontin' about shit they ain't got and the subject matter or content is just ridiculous. When I do listen to hip hop I'm more so into what the already establish artists from the 90's & early 00's is talking about (well some 00's artists) and to be honest can we really call these folks out here that's putting out music now actual "artists" ? Some of the music these dudes put out now goes further into pop genre to attract the pop culture fans. If ain't an kat that's already established in the game I can't fuck wit it period.

well i started off with mo town and funk when i was growing up, now like alot of others said im looking back at the 90s and checking for what i missed... Aint no reason to check out most these new niggas, they are all the same and very uninteresting, Drake & Kudi included

Nah, I still listen to hip-hop, check new artists and search for dusted, forgotten gems. I listen to more rock, especially from psychadelic, hippie era.

I still listen but I don't listen to new artist at all. I give them a chance, but nothing has replay value today from these new guys.
