New York fell off because of Hot 97!? - for real?
Radio is radio, where ever you go its the same exact formula.
Radio sucks, no one listens to radio- they do influence people by playing the same songs all day long- but if you have half a brain you can make decisions for yourself on whether you like something or not. Even making a decision to tune in or not.
I do not like how they ignore the facts for the most part- but anybody would do the same for the people close to them.
The brand is now tainted and they must deal with that.
saying New York fell off because of Hot 97 is ridiculous.

"Hot 97 the place where HIP HOP DIES!!" - RZA
DatNiggaB1;2348556 said:When I was wit my babymama she used to stream Hot 97 all day and the shit made me sick. Being that Flex and other DJs would be the first to say that hiphop belongs in NY, they don't play that real hiphop, its jus hippop and its sad.
I aint listen to the interview, but i'm inclined to agree.
Pretty Fred;2348546 said:I don't listen to anything with Benzino, that lame tried picking up my chick in Miami last year- she laughed in his face, so did I lol.
But besides that- Benzino is just the angry stepchild that no one cares about.
Why the f*ck is he speaking on this....oh thats right cause he wants attention.
Remember The magazine The Source and how it always used to have 2 page spreads about Made Men (who) yeah, Benzino is in the same boat as Hot 97.
So what you're saying is that Benzino is the go to guy to speak on failed business practices? lmaoalibaba;2348583 said:I agree with you, Zino is acting like a hypocrite and he speaks on that too. Still tho homie spoke some real chit. and who do you even bother to reply to the thread if you aint listen to the chit.

I don't need to listen to Zino to know what hes saying -- everytime he opens his mouth it sounds like "Look at me!!"

Exactly. He may be correct in his assessment of Hot 97, but that is because shady recognizes shady.flushill401;2348548 said:So the guy who had a hand in destroying one of the most popular hip hop magazines ever is speaking on shady business? C'Mon Son!!
alibaba;2348325 said:As Hot 97 undergoes sharp criticism for attempting to sweep scandal surrounding a list of its radio personalities (including Mister Cee and Funkmaster Flex) under the rug, Benzino is speaking out. In this exclusive interview with the rapper who brought us The Source magazine, Jacky Jasper uncovers how people like Funkmaster Flex have single-handedly destroyed radio and hip hip.
Part 1 of a 3 part series:
“As long as the staff at Hot 97, which has been there for years and been doing suspect **** for years…as long as they’re up there, New York will never be the same.”
During this very candid conversation Benzino lays out the spin of lies Hot 97 has announced to its listeners, explains the bias DJ’s like Funkmaster Flex have when selecting music for air, and exposes Hot 97FM’s list of on air talent as “a bunch of self interest DJ’s and personalites who wanna be stars themselves.”
Take a listen as Benzino tells Jacky Jasper, “when the DJ is bigger than the artist, it clouds things…as long as it keeps going on up there, the New York artist will always suffer.”
