I guess northerners will hate, but honest being from the south I've seen gucci's reach on hip hop and rap music in general. He has had his own hit singles and club bangers. He has had a hand in the careers of nicki, waka, rich homie, thugga, and migos. And as far as that trap, gangsta rap ish goes he actually one of the few that really lived his lyrics. Not a question of whether ur a fan of his or not but his influence undeniable. Plus dude got a lil bit more flow and delivery then get get credit for.

Its like...there are a lot of threads about rappers I dont really listen to on here. Being as its not my cup of tea I dont fool with them. Every rapper has been "borne" from another predecessor. Nas from Rakim. Jay from BDK. Gucci took from Eazy E's style, and it helped him form his own. Eazy actually influenced a lot of street rappers. So Gucci evolved from Eazy, among others.
