That's the biggest thing I don't like about Arrow besides the flashbacks...they turned a great character into a second rate Batman...

Another problem is that you can tell which actors are more skilled fighters in real life.

Not actual fighters necessarily, but just better skilled in martial arts or whatever.

So, when a lesser skilled actor beats a skilled actor in a fight scene.....it doesn't look as convincing.

I mean, it's easy to tell that the actor who plays Merlin is more skilled than the actor who plays Ollie.

So it doesn't look right when Ollie beats him.

Same thing with the actor who plays Slade, and the one who played the Chinese dude in the League of Assassins.

The actor who plays Ollie doesn't look any more skilled than he did in the first season, so when he "beats" characters who are better than him in his fight scenes....it just doesn't seem realistic.

Reason why it don't seem realistic because in the DC lore, the opponent he facing is a skilled fighter but doesn't translate on screen

i hate how every season oliver got some big secret that could destroy the trust of his team....yet they always forgive him

Eh, Oliver's son dies. Has to be. Show hasn't jumped enough of the shark to have him raising a kid, and this week's ending could mean Dahrk offed the mom. No way is this turning into Superhero Babysitters Club.
