I'm guessing they need to do that to keep the female audience. The male audience will watch it for the action, story and the character in general. I agree though, these training scenes are strictly for the women and they do need to give then men some more eye candy. At the very least Dinah needs to get in some tighter dresses ala Lois in Smallville towards the end.
