Microsoft only because its the only thing Ive used. Never owned anything Apple and I am not familiar with much of the software. Although like someone else mentioned on here (I have heard others say it as well) that with Apple you get less viruses

Microsoft.

You don't have to worry about viruses if you take care of your system.

I even got a phone with Windows mobile OS, lol. I wont touch an iPhone.

I like Microsoft for the reason (it may seem weird lol), just prefer the appearance of the way it works, onscreen and all. Got an iPhone, the old one, as a gift while back, still sits in the box. used in for few hours and was sure it was not for me.

See Apple Mac computers and same thing, few hours on one, and never again.

Apple hands down. The simplicity of the system, the somewhat futuristic feel of it as well. Microsoft is attempting to mimic apples OS more and more with each update of windows. Just look at that new windows shyt.

I think one of the main reasons Apple computers have less viruses is because the comps cost more and it wouldn't make as big of an impact as creating a virus for Windows computers which like 70% of the world own. Just a theory though

The reason Apple never gets viruses is because the smugness of the user gets in and kills the virus before it enters.

If your not using the Mac for media editing (movies/photos) then you take a loss because it gives no advantage over a PC. I hear this bs about less viruses but that is a myth, the number has risen dramatically in the past 2 years since people bought that line hook and sinker. But Apple's existence is needed because MS got lazy and dropped Vista, one of the worst OS's since ME. They made a small comeback with 7 but they need to step it up if they don't want Apple owning them in the long run. My bro used to talk smack about how great his Mac Pro was until it broke a year after getting it while my Alienware laptop behemoth is still going strong 5 years later. Seriously, if you're getting bogged down with viruses and shit on a PC, you don't deserve to own one.

You're mostly right, the smaller market share of Apple made it pointless to make large scale viruses for it. But with more and more people adopting Macs, more hackers are targeting Mac users. Used to be you didn't need anti virus with a Mac, now they're recommending it. Some hacker compromised a Mac computer in under 10 seconds, goes to show they're not as infallible as people say.

To all of you Mac users... You're probably already infected and don't even realize it due to your smug "we don't git no vy-russes" attitude.

I've owned a long string of Macs, PC's, SGI, and Sun machines (whit the odd HP Visualize HP-UX box thrown in). Of them all, SGI shits all over everyone else, but because they're no longer in business and this is focused on Mac vs PC, I'll happily go with the PC and Windows.

Though, personally, I'd add a third category for Linux on x86 (PC). I'll take a PC with Mandriva or Red Hat/Fedora over a Mac or Windows PC.

i voted microsoft but i wouldnt say it "runs in my veins"... i got a blackberry and an ipod nano. ive used macs before but i dont like the mouse with only one button. and i agree with what some others have said, if you know what youre doing, your pc wont get viruses. i find PCs to actually be more customizable and (when customized to my own preferences) thus easier to use. i know if you hook it up with Linux you can really get customized, but i tried to do that before and messed my old tower up lol...
