yep, don hutson is the guy he argues too

His Rice is to Aaron as Hutson is to Ruth argument sounds solid to me, but I can't say that Rice isn't better. He played in a league with 3x more teams and more complex defensive schemes.

yea i hear both sides on it. like you said tougher defenses today, but back then passing wasnt as common and hutson was doing numbers

And the game was a lot more violent back then as well. I can't call it, but I say Rice is still the better of the two. I feel he would have shined in Hutson's era too.

What the Fuck????????....

Through 12 years in the league, Jerry Rice only had 6 more touchdowns than Moss, when he played 2 more whole games than him in those years, and had Joe Montana[the Goat] who had already won 2 super bowls before Rice even stepped in the league. And Rice played with Steve Young another Hall Of Famer. Do you know who Moss had ass quarterback through his first nine seasons? Jeff George, Daunte Culpepper, Brad Johnson, Kerry Collins, Aaron Brooks, Andrew Walter, Spergon Wynn, Todd Bouman, and not to mention an inexperienced Matt Cassel for one year in New England. If this dude had played with Manning or Brady his entire career he would be shitting on Jerry Rice. Whatever though. Niggas think just because Jerry came first he was the best.

Co-sign. Randy Moss. Rice was bein thrown to by HOF'ers. And when you're talkin bout those stats, let's not forget the 2 years Moss basically took off in Oakland. Moss is GOAT receiver IMO.

I'm not holding it against Rice. Just giving some reasoning behind his numbers. Not trying to deny how great a receiver he was. You have to acknowledge playing for 2 HOF QB's is helpful though. Moss played with 1 (Brady} and look what he did. N with the Oakland thing, I'm saying his numbers could have been a lot better had he not had to spend 2 seasons in Oakland.
