Anyways comparing the rappers like kast, face, big, etc to rappers in this generation isn't the same. They came up under artists who were storytelling and lyrically above average so they HAD to come with shit like that. i mean, most artists blow up in the early twenties, and make music in that mind set.

then they have to spend the rest of their careers making similar music to keep relating to that demographic and selling.

I'm not talking about music being a youth thing, I'm saying that young rappers used to talk about more mature subject matter than rappers today.

Cole's immaturity, he always reminscing about being a kid like talkin about lunchables and shit, he's one of my favorite rappers out ,he talks about somethin mature later in the verse, and he definitely talks about subject matter I can relate to (being black, college) but he does rap a bit immature at times.
