Are latinos as important as black people when it comes to talks about hip hop history

Damn this is my first thread that get all this comments lol......anyway i saw lots of good points but i guess at the end of the day latinos and blacks are gonna remain divided.....as far as the music goes latinos wont get much recognition......sad to say but true
