Its his fault a bit, but its mostly her fault. Shit, people share company secrets with their families all the time. Every apple engineer told someone in their circle about the new iPhone but only 1 simple ass bitch made a youtube video about it and now her dad lost her job.

In the tech field, this is one of the worst things you could do. Hes not gonna find another high profile job easily.

It's not out of ordinary that these types of leaks happen especially during the beta testing phase (where they let engineers and other employees use phone prototypes for a month or so...to get a feel of the phone from a customer perspective prior to release).

Happened before when a guy left a prototype phone in a bar, if i recall correctly.

I can't even call it if that engineer is fucked or not. It's likely. At this point the phone itself would be highly confidential if not restricted information and any divulgence of information regarding it would be cause for termination. I personally do not rule out the possibility of this being a planned leak.
