Hawaiian Pidgin English, Hawaiian Creole English, HCE, or locally known as simply Pidgin, is a creole language, accent, and dialect – based in part on English – spoken by many residents of Hawaii. Although English and Hawaiian are the co-official languages of the state of Hawaii,[3] Hawaiian Pidgin is used by many Hawaii residents in everyday casual conversation and is often used in advertising targeted toward locals in Hawaii. In the Hawaiian language, Hawaiian Creole English is called "ʻōlelo paʻi ʻai", which literally means "pounding-taro language".[4]

Despite its name, Hawaiian Pidgin is not a pidgin, but rather a full-fledged, nativized, and demographically stable[5] natural language. It did, however, evolve from various real pidgins spoken between ethnic groups in Hawaii.

American Sign Language.

I want to relearn Spanish. I was fluent as a child, my nana spoke to me in Spanish, the only one to teach me, and she ended up leaving for a few years due to some bullshit. I had no one to speak it to anymore so I lost it.

don't u live in Cali? i'm sure there's plenty of Spanish speakers and/or groups where you can relearn/practice Spanish

I'm only fluent in English. The most difficult thing about learning another language is that you need to be in a place or around people where the language is spoken. The mind retains useful information.

With all that said, I'm reasonably proficient in French, Brazilian Portuguese, & Haitian Kreyol. I used to be much better but since I don't have access to those speakers regularly, it's harder to retain than my English.
