It is! It's a mixture of English, Spanish and French really so it is a dialect.

dialect isn't a language tho. imma do some research tho, cuz Haitian Kreyol is a language, Afrikaans is a language

Even many Jamaicans who were born here can't even understand it.

If you're around it enough, you naturally pick it up.

went to a jamacian food shack 2 weeks ago and the cook/waiter/cashier....kept asking me "what its hitting for?"

I kept giving him the WTF face and saying excuse me...thinking it was some gay shit....after about the fourth time i realized he was just asking me what was my order ?

anyway, i can speak somali (all three dialects), arabic and french fluently for the most part. my father speaks italian and russian, so i know a little bit of that. i used to know how to speak amhari, but i'm not that good at it anymore

i learned a lot of hindi and urdu from watching bollywood movies all the time too
