It's a once in a lifetime experience, i always encourage people to travel. It breaks down your perception of people and humble you, when you really think you have it hard in America (we don't). People are the same for the most part, from my experiences, it's about family and positive energy.

It's very busy. Lots of traffict, lots of people.

As far as food goes, it is mostly korean restaurants you will find, but in hotels, they serve some regular shits as well.

They are very fashion savvy, almost over the top, but if you learn to find your way around, it's really dope as well.

if you going for a year, don't go no further than Dongducheon (Camp Casey area)
anything further north is bullshit for a civilian..............leave Panmunjom and all that shit alone, don't get suckered on taking that wack DMZ tour
best place is Seoul, it's like a real city............stay away from the college area unless you got a korean escort, otherwise you might get yo ass beat LOL
