Unfortunately you missed the point I made - 50 Cent doesnt need those artists to make a hit. Ross needs it b/c his lyrics are weak so he relies on a great beat & a feature to carry his records (look at all his major records these past few years his biggest records have features on them), DJ Khaled has NEVER sold well & is irrelevant to this discussion b/c he is not a rapper hes a DJ and he relies on Wayne & Drake to carry him. Jay-Z is Jay-Z so he can as he pleases b/c no one's his boss. The rest of them niggas u named he simply dont need them to make a hit & his past albums prove that. HFM2 sold well on the independent tip, he still outsold Rick Ross AND Meek Millz so I dont know where u getting at & if we use ur logic if Ross is soooo hot rite now explain why he along with 5 not just 1 but FIVE features who are some of the hottest talent out now couldn't sell more than 50k in their first week versus Lloyd Banks who is just one man and didnt even have 50 Cent on his album.
50 Cent is all over Forbes, still has 5 million followers on Twitter, classic albums, movies, the sales, the merchandise u name it. If he was sooo irrelevant then legendary actors like Sharon Stone, Val Kilmer, Al Pacino, Robert Dinero & them wouldnt be tryna make movies with him. Face it 50 Cent never went anywhere and he's done extremely well this year & last year despite not even putting an album out. He may be under Interscope but unlike the niggas u named off he doesn't 101 features on his album to sell or keep his name hot. U really think its a good investment if a nigga like Ross or Wayne needs aaalll them niggas to keep them hot ? What happens when they decide to sit down & enjoy the money and have to come back to music ? Wayne will thrive cuz he speaks to the new generation but Ross ? LOLOLOL. T
Try again fam I got u beat LOLOL. If the best thing u can come up with is that niggas need to collab then u need to log off, think about what you're gonna type & regurgitate that. It's not 2003 but its not the end of his career either. I dont understand how u say a nigga with a 200 million dollar movie deal is finished. When hes done making his movies hell poor his energy into music & drop a dope album.
Obviously you have some delusions that I don't get paid enough to fix. Let's break these points down as quick as possible, I have little time for this shit.
Khaled and Ross don't sell like that. But imagine gettin on a Khaled or a Ross record with a name like 50's. That shit would be huge. Not necessarily for his sales, but for his artistic rep and to get people talking. Unfortunately, he closed that door. And Millz is a new nigga, but he's already reaping the benefits of being associated with Ross. Word to Ima Boss (which he's doing a remix with Jay, Birdman, Puff and T.I... not bad for a rookie)
Jay is his own boss - you just said it. That's the basis of his debate. Really think for a second why this is so. Why can Jay put out an album for fun and go platinum, while 50 has to fight with his label to get a release date?
He don't need the rest to make a hit - Name a 50 Cent hit within the last two years by himself. Nuff said.
Again, Ross don't sell albums, but tell me Ima Boss, Tupac Back, 600 Benz and any other song Ross was on wasn't killing radio this year. You mean to tell me if Ross and 50 made a record together it wouldn't be crazy? 50 got a joint with Shawty Lo and Kidd Kidd, shit went triple pacifier rubber on the charts. And, just by being associated with a 200 million dollar man shouldve sent Banks in the upper100ks. What happened there?
50 Cent is all over Forbes, still has 5 million followers on Twitter, classic albums, movies, the sales, the merchandise u name it - sounds like some fanboy shit right here. Won't get much into this except, give me a Forbes article on 50 in the past two years and I'll humble myself.
The movies - The Al Pacino/Robert Dinero flick Righteous Kill? That movie? Nigga was in that for 2 minutes, he wasn't even a main character. And the rest of those movies are straight to DVD. LMAO @ Val Kilmer. Nigga aint make nothing hot since Batman Forever. And that movie been came out, and no one gave a fuck.
50's never went anywhere - Alright, didn't know about the 200mil movie deal, that's what's up. But you do realize that he has to make that money back right? And it's not gonna appear in the 99cent bin... he's gotta release a movie in theaters. And that cancer movie will get laughed at... I seen the trailer. Also, that song he made with one of the Pussycat Dolls (forgot her name) sank like a rock in a river. Hasn't gone anywhere, right?
U really think its a good investment if a nigga like Ross or Wayne needs aaalll them niggas to keep them hot ? - Think about this... Wayne has been in the game for 13 years, Ross been in the game for 6. 50 had a 4 year hot streak before flopping with BISD in 09. 50 and Ross sold almost the same in 09, which is unbecoming for a 200mil man. Wayne just did a mil for the 2nd time in his career, in a fucked up environment. How did Ross and Wayne survive for this long, and 50's struggling to stay on their level?
That's all. Thanks for wasting my time in breaking down your fanboydom. 50 had a nice run, and still puts out dope shit from time to time, but other than that, it's a wrap. Jay won the overall battle, and can kick his feet up while 50 has to keep grinding, which was my whole point to begin with.
