More gossipers, more people exploited by religion, more ignorant people, more people hiding their dirty and nasty secrets (The IC is proof of that alone), less inspiration, and etc. TV is revolutionary and show people what war was during the Vietnam conflict, showed us news around the world and got more people involve in their world and outside their towns, Nasa showed the moon landing and space flights and inspired the world, learning different cultures and recipes.

Tv, the internet, and etc got me interacting with people who I have more in common vs my whole vicinity in a 50 mile radius. People weren't reading books like crazy back than either. The anti-intellectualism isn't due to tv it existed way before tv. It's ignorant cave culture you dimwits.

I was speaking mainly of t.v. but other distracting technologies like cell phones play a hand also looking back i'm not sure if it's was a good idea to totally cancel out technology when I made this thread i'm not trying to go back to the 18th century with this. I guess some progress in technology would have to be made as for novels or theater what's so bad about reading or live entertainment. i'd even ask how resourceful would people be without these things.

When our ancestors lived in those times, people were less educated than people of today. The japanese has that and more and far more educated and same with Europeans as well. It's not fucking tv and electronics, it's the cultural.
