Tired of Black actors making irresponsible statements, all this shucking and jiving. Have some principles, morals and a damn backbone.

Black actors are no different from White actors when it comes to ridiculous statements. In general, celebrities should stay out of politics/social commentary unless they know what they're talking about.

Let me help t/s out

“If you look at Trump, he’s an easy sell, because you can sell him as the guy who worked his way up from nothing. If you’re the pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps candidate, people would identify with that.” Asked if that constitutes a Trump endorsement, Mackie says “I’m on the bandwagon. I’m drinking the Kool-Aid.”- Anthony Mackie

Best part of this is its not even close to true. Trump’s father, Fred, was a 1st generation immigrant who built low income housing in Queens and Brooklyn. Donald Trump received anywhere between 50-200 million in inheritance. He also got all his father’s suppliers, contacts, brand name etc. He then took the Managing company and created a world wide, multi billion dollar property and brand business. So he basically started at the top and climbed a lil higher.

a nice update on this.

How did Donald Trump get his start? He did it the same way self-made American men have been doing it since time immemorial: hard work, bootstraps, determination, elbow grease, perseverance, and a tiny little pile of money from his daddy.

At a New Hampshire town hall televised on the Today show this morning, one attendee asked the famously hardscrabble Trump if he’d ever been told no in his life. “I mean, my whole life, really, has been a no, and I fought through it,” the Republican presidential frontrunner replied. He continued:

It has not been easy for me. It has not been easy for me. I started off in Brooklyn, my father gave me a small loan of a million dollars, I came into Manhattan. And I had to pay him back, I had to pay him back with interest. I came into Manhattan, I started buying properties, I did great, and then I built the Grand Hyatt, and I got involved with the convention—I did a good job. But I was always told that that would never work.

Calculated with the inflation rate, that would be $3,781,191.62 in todays money
