I hate skits where rappers make you listen to them fucking a bitch or getting their dick sucked. Cant stand that shit. Dre on both Chronic and 2001, Biggie twice on RTD etc. Eminem is probably the worst with those homo Ken Kaniff and ICP skits

When De La Soul made Three Feet High and Rising in 1989 it was the very first rap album with skits. It was very original and creative.

However in hindsight, when you go back and listen to that album the skits are kinda corny, but at the time it was new and creative.

Now in 2016 the idea of the skit is so old and played out its inconceivable that people still do them. In fact, they got played out by the early 90s. I remember the skits on The Chronic and Enter The Wu: 36 Chambers were cool but by the mid 90s the whole idea was just lame and played out.

I don't think you could name a skit thats worth listening to after 36 Chambers. Even the skits on Only Built For Cuban Linx don't have any replay value.

In comparison, I'd rather listen to a mid 90s mixtape with a DJ yelling over the tracks rather than a mid 90s studio album by a group/artist that has a skit after every 2 or 3 songs.

Man fuck y'all I love rap skits. You gotta appreciate at least the production & humor of it, the sound effects and weird skit stories and shit lol. Especially the random or hidden ones that come at the end or middle of the song.
