The book is a chore. I'm currently reading it and the plot doesn't really make an appearance until like 200 pages in.

It has some fun scenes, and its a good premise but Gaiman literally spent like two-three pages explaining the environment the character traveled on. It was ridiculous and boring asf.

He gets a little too descriptive and too poetic at times.

Yea bruh all this describing of Lakeside when Shadow 1st arrives is killing me. I find myself skipping pages and pages of pointless conversation in search of a fucking plot. I'm trying to finish the book before watching the show
