I could not get why that couple were shagging at the start of ep 3, seriously i dont a crap im telling everyone right now if i was in that situation im finding guns food and water and cars, trucks etc to travel in...i could not give a shit about no pussy!! and not in some forrest..GREAT SHOW overall i must say...

Keep watching, if they go along with the comic book plot, Shane and Rick are going to have a dispute about that, and somethings gonna happen.

Rick is a much better leader than Shane, but Shane is the one who is currently in "charge" of the survivors, and he also happens to be a bad leader. This issue is gonna be the cause of a certain incident later in the series. (well, maybe next season, only 3 episodes left)

Had to happen sooner or later: AMC has cancelled a drama series -- political thriller Rubicon.

Rubicon will not continue following its sleepy first season, which averaged 1.6 million viewers and an ultra-soft 439,000 adults 18-49.

The network released the following statement:

"Rubicon gave us an opportunity to tell a rich and compelling story and we're very proud of the series. This was not an easy decision, but we are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a phenomenally talented and dedicated team."

The AMC's first two dramas, Mad Men and Breaking Bad, were critical hits and have performed decently in the ratings. The network also had a limited series, The Prisoner, which only had a single run. The network's newest series, The Walking Dead, has been a smash with critics and in the Nielsens and quickly received a second season order.

Rubicon premiered on AMC on August 1, 2010 and was produced by Warner Horizon Television.

LOL

not surprised

it was just a bunch people running around yelling "WHO IS RUBICON!?" And people answering "Kid you're stumbling onto something bigger than yourself" Or something like that. The age of mystery and suspense as well as piecing things together yourself are over

straight up though, the only thing that I saw die so far was the horse. I need to see someone get eaten, well actually not just that, it needs more action as well. So hopefully the next episodes will have just that. Hopefully they are only developing the story cause somebody has to die!

That'll come man, they'll probably want to end the season with something big.

There's always periods for progression but eventually it all goes hectic, that's how they build the supsense and tension and what makes a good drama.

I see your point

with this being a series and not a movie will allow the writers to evolve their stories at a more lucid and reflective rate. The movies always seem to end too quickly. I'm looking forward not only to a real (I hope) examination of a zombie apocalypse, but also how such a thing will effect the living that remain

I never read the comics so I don't know much about the story, but I heard some of the plots in the comics are too gruesome to be used on TV. So I just hope they don't run out of ideas and we have many seasons of zombie shit ahead of us

yea you gotta build up the characters that way it means so much more when a zombie kills one of them

Absolutely. Zombie action is secondary. Without the drama created between the characters, the show is dead. How do you care what happens to whom if you don't expand on their stories? The meat of the story, any story, will always be the people first, circumstances as a backdrop.

these writers have been in the game long enough to realize that relying on the gore and horror side of things won't take them far in a series. Only drama and its ability to keep it rolling will make this show stay on the air. Watching the pressure of the situation change characters one thought they could trust turn into possible villains is dope, but I hope they find a good balance between that and zombie action

cause this is starting to remind me of some Young and The Restless shit. Following the Lori and Shane sex scene in the forest, I pretty much wrote her off as a ho. But then we find out in episode 3 that Shane apparently lied to her before leaving Atlanta that Rick was dead lol

I can't even front though, it has been pretty interesting with the way the story has unfolded. Going back to Atlanta is a dumb ass move, but it does make for some good tension and most likely some more zombie encounters
