It's a good season finale, now that they know that the world is overrun and a cure isn't in sight in can focus mostly now on survival. It's actually a really good set up for the longer 13 episode season where they will have much more time to develop plot points, story and more characters. It got far in only 6 episodes.

Also the ratings were great, 8 million in total for both the premiere and the re-airing. It's offically a hit.

The redneck probably survived but died from blood loss, even though he cauterized his severed hand. Who knows, infection could have set in and he died from that. But I think next season, he's turned already and when the group tries to get out of town, he's part of a pack of zombies and they leave it up to his brother to deal with him. It'll be a hard kill for his brother or he's so hurt to see his brother in a fucked up state, he joins him in death.

I have a question about zombies though...........if they eat you, what remains of your body, does it come back to life? I've seen zombie flicks where kats get ripped in half and chest ripped open, but never came back from that. But what if someone gets caught, gutted, but the body remains, will that person become a zombie, or are they dead, dead? I mean, we saw that the brain dies but the virus brings the brain stem activity back, so if everything else is still intact, even if they get gutted, does that person get up and become a zombie?

yeah, i seen that shit, but the "intact brain" clarification was it for me. But the half body zombies could be from a previous injury and the body crawled out of the morgue or it could have been a full body zombie that got hit by a car and torn in half, but as long as the brain is still intact, the rest kept going.

And does the previous dead get up because of the virus? I mean, I don't know shit about burial procedures, but is the brain removed from the body? And if not does someone who's been buried for a couple months dig themselves out of the grave to walk again? If this was the case, the living are fucked...........

^^ No dissrespect...but it is probably beter if nobody brings up shit from the comic book. Even though the show has alternate plotlines...bringing up info from the comic would pretty much fuck up any surprise for the show, thus rendering unwatchable.

nah i think it was the fever that was killing everyone who contracted it. it was a mass sickness and therefore you get mad zombies walking around. i dont think the already dead would come back because their bodies have their organs removed and are decomposed

Alright, for my money, the best scene (of the whole series) was that pre-pilot flashback in the hospital. Them soldiers arbitrarily herding uninfected doctors, nurses, and orderlies down a hallway so they could unceremoniously swizz cheese them was REAL AS FUCK and had me wylin! It made Shane that much more tragic. Dude really did all he could to save Rick under hellish circumstances and him blocking the door with the gurney saved him from getting eaten. Fuck, Shane's family prolly got eaten because he was doing all that. Rick should at least let his wife blow Shane or something, damn, show some gratitude nigga.

shit started off perfect ... it all went downhill when the esse's were living at that hospital... thats when i knew the writers were gonna fuck up. they still have a chance to turn it around tho. all they have to do now that the cast realizes that there is no cure in site is to keep putting them in dangerous situations until they finally find a safe haven ... it should be a high school or something that has all that basic shit they need. all they should have to do is go get some generators to keep the power going. then from there ... they should be trying to either out live the zombies or start building some kind of resistence army on some terminator 4 shit

1) When the fuel runs out...the CDC building and contamination machinery would not be able to keep the infected samples secured, thus potentially letting out a more dangerous strain of the virus. Of course the building itself can't know it there are still zombies outside, so if the outside population had contained the virus and the cdc building were to not be protected by its own safety measures(because of lack of fuel), it would start the whole zombie shit all over again. The explosion would ensure everything is the building was incinerated...

2) The black lady decided she didn't want to run anymore. She felt there was no hope, so she stayed. So when she and the doctor were the last people...seconds before their impending death...I don't see how it is irrational that the would hold hands and get ready for what is inevitable. I'm sure people of different cultures in more realistic but equally "impending death" situations bond exactly the same...

3)AMC did not know if people would watch a show about zombies no matter how good it was. Had they greenlit the 2nd season and invested ALOT of money into its production but meanwhile the shows averaged only 1 mill views...they'd have had to cancel the show and lost all the money for the now canceled 2nd season. No mater how good a show is sometimes...it doesn't hold up on viewership and they are forced to cancel. Apparently, the show terriers suffered that fate...they had some real fans and the show was apparently good but not enough viewers to save it...

Walking Dead will def come back.

1. yes but what does that have to do with the building automatically being able to blow its self up in its entirety just because of loss of fuel?? LOL how about this ... when the fuel runs out, how about the vault that the samples are being stored in just locks like a bank vault?? if the virus and the potential cure are both in the cdc ... why would u destroy everything?? the building just completely self destructing is not what would happen in reality and is completely ridiculous. the fact is ... the zombie breakout is a new disease that took the world by storm ... meaning the self destruct security measure was in place well before the zombie outbreak. so again why would they be that drastic towards the diseases etc that we already know about?? you could be 2 hours away from finding a cure but the building is gonna blow up in 30 mins ... smh at the world going extinct because of slow download speeds LOL

2. i completely disagree that that would happen .... baby girl woulda been tapped out if that was the case. its much too early in the apocalyspe for people to be tapping out ... i mean damn ... thats only like the 2nd place they've been ... they went downtown to find that the army had been over run, but kept going back for food and supplies. then awhile later they went to the cdc. they have like 5 other places i can think of that would give them hope. see .... where they messed up is the bullshit cdc self destruct shit ... if the power had just gone out, but the building still provided shelter until the next plan, they wouldnt have had to throw that dumb ass part in there. plus they would have had another man for muscle..... just the fact that they got into the cdc revives hope. if dude was in the cdc ....then surely there must be some people alive at army bases or on boats just off the coast line. notice how many military vehicles were in downtown and out in front of the cdc. but they never even tried to commandeer them

the fact is .. they havent been anywhere yet where they havent run into living people. they werent even in immediate danger when she tapped out. these are regular citizens ... if someone told you that the cdc was gonna blow up when it ran out of fuel you wouldnt even see how that made sense. i need to be the one directing these shits ... they fuck up everytime making these movies
