I truly believe Biggie was gonna blast on Puff and put his business out there eventually,( all Puff's artist do it), and then bounce to Death Row with Pac or even No Limit. but I doubt he would've started his own label.
Big already had a label, Undeas with Un, he put Junior Mafia album out on that label, he didn't let Puff get that money Lol, Un is the same dude that Jay-Z allegedly stabbed.
Yes, I think people always think Junior Mafia and Lil Kim were on Bad Boy but they weren't. After "Ready To Die" success, Big started his own side label with Lance Un (Who Jay had his boy stab, he ain't stab nobody) Rivera. "Junior Mafia" was a Gold selling album and the single "Playa's Anthem" went Gold and "Get Money" went Platinum. Then Lil Kim dropped and ended up going Multi-Platinum and had hit songs "No Time, Crush on You and Not Tonight Remix).
So Big was on a 5 LP deal with an option for 6 with Bad Boy. Ready To Die was album 1, LAD was album 2 and 3. His 3rd LP was going to be called "The Black Album", he later changed the title to "Born Again" to fit the theme of his other 2 LP. That was going to be a Triple LP and Big would of been done with his contract. He would also have given Puff an 7th LP which would of been the Greatest Hits. Meanwhile He would do features with other Bad Boy artist and promote the label.
While recording his 3rd Triple LP, he would of completed "The Commission" Project which was slated to be released on Biggie's label in collaboration with Jay's Label Roc a Fella Records. So Big would of already had his own label. His clothing line was about to pop off. In Conclusion, Big was setting up to leave Bad Boy from the beginning. Bad Boy was his way in but he had Bigger Plans. Puff wasn't as greedy as some of you think. If he was Big would of never been able to start a side label. The fact that Biggie was breaking artist and having success with his side projects proves he was going to have a solid business empire for the years to come. Look at Biggie's Executive Producer credits:
"Conspiracy" (Executive Producer, Producer, Writer)
"Hard Core" (Executive Producer, Producer Writer)
"No Way Out (Executive Producer, Writer)
Slated Projects before his Death:
"The Commission" (Executive Producer, Writer) 98'
"Camron Debut" (Executive Producer, Writer) 98'
"Carli-Baltimore Debut" (Executive Producer, Writer) 99'
"Lil Cease Debut" (Executive Producer, Writer) 99'
"Lil Kim 2nd LP" (Executive Producer, Writer) 99 or 00'
"Born Again Triple LP" (Writer) 00'
Big's Plate was full way past the 2000's.

I think he woulda left n worked on the label he had with un. He def wouldn't had been dealt with like the lox faith mase n all the rest. But diddy is the king of rape tape on contracts in Hiphop so it wouldn't be easy. As for his career that mighta went a few different ways
and according to the lox big was the last of the mohicans as far as someone having any kind of pull over diddy ... jada and lil kim both confirmed big was the go to guy if you needed something to get done especially if puff was involved ..
This is true. Biggie was very helpful to The Lox and Lil Kim as well as 112, Faith and Total in getting things done from Puff. Puff would listen to Big most cause he was the cash cow of the label.
