I'll say this tho about Ivey --- no other player had more stans. NONE. Not Kobe, not Lebron, not even his Airness. And I don't mean "arguing on message board" stans, I mean dressing, acting, walking, talking, playing like him -- stans. He kicked off the whole "cornrow" and tattoo explosion in the league, etc. And when this shoe came out...

...I saw more people rocking these than ANY other brand (Jays included.)

I even remember when Lil' Bow Wow and Lil' Romeo (lol) were basically having a "who can look more like Iverson" contest in their videos, dribbling basketballs and all. I guess Romeo won that one, since Bow Wow never grew another inch and Romeo was at least on a D-1 roster (USC).

Ivey's game just never matured -- and neither did he. Too bad. He played hard and was a fierce competitor. Just goes to show that being an NBA legend takes more than a "crossover".

I grew up in Philly.....I know this ALL TOO WELL. COSIGN.

On the low...A.I. was suppose to be the player Kobe became. After Jordan, he was the only player to have a buzz anywhere near close to what Air Jordan was in the 90s. People were just ready for him to win 3+ rings.

Gotta respect Ivy for that. Unlike Kobe, Bron or Wade.....he made his own brand & his shit, at its peak, was arguably as dope as Jordan's & definitely wasn't a form of biting or a player trying to be like Mike.

The difference btwn AI and the others you've mentioned is height... AI is 5'11 tops whereas all others are a legit 6'5. AI was a small man that played and ethered many a 6'6 nigga. I'd say that if Kobe, Bron and/or Wade had AI's heart circa 2000-2005 they'd have already succeeded Jordan as the GOAT. AI made many mistakes, but in his prime, after Jordan, he was THE LEAGUE...

I dont remember vividly but Iverson vs the buck in the playoffs went bananas... but again.. it was no answer.

the series against the raptors was 7 games of classic shit. him and vince carter(when he was in his prime) they had 50 points every game it seemed.

A.l. was an asshole, but he was one of the best little men to do it. The haters gonna hate but he was one the leagues best scorers and a trendsetter. He was very close to not playing at all. Everyone has demons and i wish him the best

how you contradict your own post?
