More like most things in any form of entertainment is an escapism for kids & young adults, all of which are the main consumers & the buying public of most music. To them it's just the fact that being dumb & ignorant is more entertaining for them. I mean look at ODB & Flav. what dudes dont realize is party tracks are great for a good buzz and promo ... because party tracks can be played in bars, clubs etc... and theres a dj that controls that play list most of the time .... meaning thats a playist that always changes so its a great way for a new artist to get heard if it fits the format .......... but party tracks never really sold records ... people like Puff and Jayz created the illusion that these "party" tracks are what sold thier artist ... but fans bought into the artist these guys were jayz and big ... the personality not cause of the singles ....... you want to sell records ... bring people into your world ... or try to make the biggest records possible that folks from different genres can relate to ....
