That makes no sense. I'm not liking that at all. The way to get past the enchantment was always either:

A. Be worthy

B. Be strong enough to overpower Odin/the enchantment itself.

Odin being the one who cast the enchantment, him not lifting it is kinda dumb. Gotta admit.

Didn't Thor break the hammer and Dr Strange fixed it but took some of Thor's life force and combined them together?

Ok, when Thor kills Bor he breaks it and Strange takes the Odinforce out of Thor binding the two in a symbiotic relationship.
