This is still my favorite album out right now.

Alicia did good.

The only song I skip is "Put It In a Love Song", but everything else is stellar.

I'll be the first to admit that I have not been feeling her singles. Sleeping with A Broken Heart is growing on me though. After my first listen, this seems like a really good album. I have to listen to it a couple more times before I decide to buy it. Love is My Disease stood out to me instantly. Love that song. *Plays on repeat*

I hated her first single ,which was on some pop shit and that collabo with Beyonce couldn't be worse, but I rate "Elements of freedom" over "As I am". Alicia seems more restraint and subtle than on her last album and that's good. She still struggles to write good lyrics, but overall she did a good job. Fantastic arrangments on all tracks, her voice sounds great and "Empire state of mind pt.2", which closes the album is better than predecessor.

It's more pop than Ak's usual stuff but still good

the joint with drake goes hard

although her and beyonce's collabo is the worst collabo ever only pharrell/kanye's number one comes close

hahaha i forgot about that kanye/pharrell joint....yeah the beyonce track is kinda weak, but it's the next single for pop radio. i think they just wanted to make somethin fun.

I'm really digging this album. Like others have said, I hated the first single and Sleeping With a Broken Heart grew on me. I wasn't checking for this album at all. The overall work is great, even with the songs I do not particularly like. The arrangement is nice. But the stand out tracks like Unthinkable, Love is Blind, Love is My Disease and How it Feels to Fly take the album to the next level. For me this is her best album. Reminds me why I feel in love with her music on her first album.

Cosign....

First single I thought was so boring and too deja vu (No-One/If I Ain't Got U). She used the same formula only those songs are better. I think on a whole this album is so much better than As I Am which I thought was sooo dead bar a couple tracks. The music in general for this album is good. However music + lyrics (which to me really makes a good song), is only present for half of the tracks on the album. The other half just gets me frustrated with Alicia. Sometimes her lyrics are so corny/contrived and she seems to be straining her voice too much at times. BUT it is a solid album.

My favs are Love Is Blind, Unthinkable, Sleeping With Broken Heart, Love is my disease & How Strong My Love Is.

Put It In A Love Song is #24 on Rhythmic radio and #53 on Pop radio. Alicia said her and Beyonce are gonna shoot the video next.

oh and Happy Birthday to Alicia who turns 29 today!

The album has sold about 930,000 copies in the US alone. In a couple of week's she'll have the highest selling R&B album released in a while. You'd have to look back at 2007 when she released As I Am to find an R&B album that had sold more. She's killin it!

As much as I LOVE Alicia ( i think she's a legend) I did not like this album at all. I was very disappointed. The only song I like is Un-thinkable.....classic.
