She was forced to do it by her insurance company to get the other family member's insurance to pay or in the case of her losing the case they pay.

It's kinda foul the internet is making her out to look like a monster when it's the insurance companies that are calling the shots.

It even seems like she threw in that hors deurves part on purpose to make sure she lost so it came out of her insurance and not her brother's.

She's suing for over 100,000.

No insurance company paying that much a broken wrist and rehab.

From what I understand the insurance company dictates how much the person sues for based on the policy of the person they're suing. Also you have to keep in mind the occupation of the person - a broken wrist would render most people unable to work for at least a while so that would have to be covered in addition to the astronomical medical costs and then physical therapy.
