The last time I cared about the KONY was when Fifty was beefing with Nas, Jada, and Fat Joe back in 05. I really thought that beef was gonna go somewhere, but it died out in a like a second, and there were only a couple decent diss tracks worth mentioning - nothing on the magnitude of Ether or Takeover.

There really hasn't been much KONY buzz since then. If New York cats start to blow up again, and if we see some serious competition going on, then we can start talking about KONY again....but as far I'm concerned, that shit's been dead since 02'

Jay z took the throne, and until someone from new york does what he did better he still has it. He may not be the absolute best rapper, but he is the most well rounded and his success proves. Just because he had a mediocre verse on one of the best new cats out now song doesn't diminish any of his previous achievements. Simply put no one in New York is able to amount to Jay Z status.
