Know why this makes perfect sense?

In older homes and building, wiring isn't up to code. And the devices in the home have to find other sources of grounding. So if you had cable, the TV was using the cable to ground. So if a lighting strike happened near by. Your TV would look to dispurse that excess electricity into something not build for that many amps. Which could cause you cable box outside to catch fire and burn the house down.

And you unplug the phone because a strong enough EMP from a surrounding strike would cause tip and ring to cross. In affect making your phones go into permanent lockout. Resulting with you phone having no dial tone and anyone who calls you wold get a fast busy.

Thus explaining why lots of times you call people after a storm and get a bus signal.

You dont know what silent anger looks like until youve seen a child come close to beating Mike Tyson on Punch Out only yo have to turn it off because his granny heard thunder. And this was before i realized you could use the codes to get back to a fighter. Id start at the beginning every time....
