I dont want to turn this thread into a Social Lounge GnS thread but the expectations of what or how people approach race usually depend on the individual. I believe that what he says is true because I see that same sentiment in black people all the time.

His commentary only expounds on his experience and how he chose to travel down a different path as his father. My father taught me to never trust white people but he never shown that sentiment outwardly to them. My experiences with white people have been mixed at best. So I teach my son differently. I teach him to judge people on their actions and not to stereotype. Wouldnt you want someone to do the same?

My Father never taught me anything about whites and how to feel about them, he did relay his real life experiences with them in the job market, day to day basis and so forth.

And u know what.....i had the same effing experiences with them if not worse when i lived down south. Think about that, he and i are generations apart and its the same shit.

That whole judging people on their merits is a nice fairytale but blacks are notoriously thick skulled. Cacs draw clear lines everyday and we as a people wanna koombayah still.

There are whites who'd call me their friends right now. To me theyre cool even, will never trust or put anything by that innate nature of theirs though.

People get setup and bamboozle by people they suppose to trust no matter the color. That is what I am teaching him.

I once talked to a Palestinian and Jewish teenager while I was in Israel. I ask them how can they be friends knowing the history. They simply said that they know each other now and have been best friends for years. When they turn 19 and have to join their respective military. The friendship will be over so they might as well enjoy it while it last.

Knowing that the hate will be indoctrinated in them as soon as they are adult sounds horrible. But it is the truth and it happens in different settings. (Catholics vs protestants) (bloods and crips) (different tribal wars) Hate is an equal opportunist that cross all color and political lines that is exacerbated by fear.
