I think him taking that stand was more political and to protect his brand.

He's let his employees ignore racism, sexism, homophobia, and transphobia on FB, even though people have reported things.

I just want to see people on his staff get fired.

Yea he would start getting rid of people for that kinda stuff if he truly felt some type of way about this type of behavior from his employees.
