Charged with manslaughter

We'll see

They choose it for a reason.

The minimum penalty for first degree manslaughter is four years in the state penitentiary.

If convicted she'll probably have that sentence cut in half or get community service.

I want to see a conviction with a real prison sentence that sends a clear message to all cops that kill innocent people.

Trump VP Pick Mike Pence on Terence Crutcher Shooting: Police ‘Make Mistakes’

While the caught-on-video killing of unarmed motorist Terence Crutcher by police has rekindled outrage over a pattern of police violence and oppression against black people, it has thus far not been worth a mention from Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. Trump running mate and Indiana Governor Mike Pence did weigh in Tuesday night, however, telling MSNBC’s Brian Williams that incidents like this are “mistakes,” and it is “offensive” to recognize and acknowledge documented phenomena like implicit bias and institutional bias among police.

Obviously, when another incident like this takes place, we fully support a thorough investigation of what took place. You know, the truth of the matter is that police officers are human beings and they make mistakes. And where mistakes are made, they should be held to the strictest account. But what I find offensive is when Hillary Clinton and others refer to implicit bias or institutional bias within the ranks of our law enforcement community broadly.

Pence is referring to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton‘s Tuesday reaction to the shooting, which was to call the series of incidents “unbearable,” and to say that we’ve “got to do everything possible to improve policing, to go right at implicit bias.”

Much easier to get a manslaughter conviction. If Zimmerman caught a Man 1 charge, he's getting fucked up in prison instead of selling the Trayvon gun. We'll see. Her lawyers sound desperate.

This rhetoric is getting old! Hell, I make mistakes too and I literally have peoples lives in my hand daily! If I fuck around, make a mistake due to negligence and crash two airplanes together my ass is going to jail. Do not pass go, do not collect paid vacation!

Perception: And where mistakes are made, they should be held to the strictest account.

Reality: those fuckers knock people off with impunity and live there lives as if shit never happened

KC police trying to determine if officer violated department’s social media policy

A Kansas City police officer is facing public scrutiny after a social media post claimed the shooting death of an unarmed man by a police officer in Tulsa was a “good shoot.”

According to a screenshot posted on Facebook by the Ida B. Wells Coalition Against Racism and Police Brutality in Kansas City, Donald Ebert wrote on Wednesday: “Should have dropped the entitlement card and listened the first time. Good shoot.”

A police spokeswoman confirmed that Ebert is an officer with the Kansas City Police Department. The department has a social media policy in place and investigators are trying to determine if Ebert violated the policy.

“We are aware of the postings and are currently investigating for potential officer misconduct,” Kansas City Police Capt. Stacey Graves wrote in an email.

Ebert’s comment was in reference to the shooting death of Terence Crutcher of Tulsa.

Betty Shelby, a Tulsa police officer, allegedly shot and killed Crutcher last week. Crutcher was unarmed.

Shelby was charged with first-degree felony manslaughter on Thursday in connection with the case.

But.. But.. Not all cops are bad.. Don't paint them all w/ a broad brush.. naive IC nigga logic...

Manslaughter is a given - video disproves the validity of any claims of self defesne.

However, they don't have enough convulsive evidence yet to levy murder charges.

If that comes out in the investigation, the DA should upgrade the charges, appropriately.

Police shoot whites, too

In a recent editorial, The Sun suggests that the shooting of an unarmed Terrence Crutcher was unwarranted, and based on the video that I have seen I have to agree ("Freddie Gray déjà vu," Sept. 22).

The editorial also mentions NFL football player Colin Kaepernick's protesting of racial injustice and the deadly encounters between police and African-Americans, yet what you fail to mention is that more whites are killed by police in this country then blacks.

A recent article in The Washington Post said that of last year's 987 fatal police shootings, 50 percent were whites and 26 percent were blacks. That's one heck of a difference. But do you see whites burning and rioting and looting? Do you see whites or Hispanics outraged over this?

The media doesn't want to bring these statistics to the public — it isn't news. Just this week in Baltimore, a African-American chef and a Morgan State University student were killed in separate incidents. Where were the protests by black leaders in our city?

I'm sorry to say this, but the protests only happen when it involves the police shooting of an African-American. And in Charlotte, the police officer who did the shooting was an African-American, so it isn't a black or white thing all of the time.

Saltine logic...
