When cops dont support other murderous cops its not bc they dont want to, it's bc they can't justify or "lose" the evidence.

Trust me if the evidence could get lost it would

This is so sad. That innocent little face.

This man needs to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. He is a murderer. He killed this boy while he sat next to his big brother. I cannot imagine the irreparable damage this pig has inflicted on this poor family.

It's too much to think about...I'm ashamed.

After 15-Year-Old Jordan Edwards Was Shot Dead By A Police Officer, Cable News Yawned

Cable news devoted minimal coverage to the killing of 15-year-old Jordan Edwards by a police officer in the days after his death. At a time when President Donald Trump’s administration is taking steps to drastically reduce measures that hold police accountable, the media’s job as a watchdog is of utter importance. In this case, cable news all but abdicated that role.

Edwards was shot by Officer Roy Oliver in a Dallas suburb on April 29. He died shortly after. A statement from the Balch Springs Police Department released on April 30 stated that Edwards was in “a vehicle backing down the street towards the Officers in an aggressive manner,” which led an officer to shoot at the vehicle. On May 1, however, police “changed their story on the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting,” according to CNN.com, after body camera footage “showed the car was driving forward, away from the officers, not reversing toward them." On May 2, the Balch Springs police chief announced that the department had fired Oliver.

A Media Matters analysis found the story has barely broken through on cable news, if at all. In the four days after Edwards’ death, MSNBC has mentioned the fatal police shooting four times, while CNN has mentioned it two times. Fox News, however, did not mention the shooting at all. All of the mentions took place on May 2 and 3, meaning the cable networks did not cover the story until it was reported that the officer had lied about his account of the shooting.

Media coverage of police brutality and abuses of power is especially important under President Trump. In April, Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a memorandum to “cut back on federal oversight of local law enforcement,” USA Today reported. In the memo, Sessions wrote, “It is not the responsibility of the federal government to manage non-federal law enforcement agencies.” As The Atlantic wrote, “When local governments violate the basic constitutional rights of citizens, Americans are supposed to be able to look to the federal government to protect those rights. Sessions has made clear that when it comes to police abuses, they’re now on their own.”

With Sessions reducing federal oversight on local law enforcement, the press is one of the most prominent institutions left to hold police accountable for bad behavior. This new reality is worrisome, to say the least, as media outlets have repeatedly criminalized black and other non-white victims of police violence. Additionally, conservative media have repeatedly portrayed advocates calling for reforms to curb police brutality, including Black Lives Matter, as criminals and terrorists. The lack of coverage cable news devoted to Edwards’ death shows that, so far, media haven’t stepped up to the plate.

Smh...

This mother fucker arrested yet?

That part was crazy to me also. An armed, "trained" officer took aim and hit a kid in a moving car and gonna act like it was heat of the moment. Shenanigans

A fired Balch Springs officer faces a murder charge in the fatal shooting of 15-year-old Jordan Edwards over the weekend as he left a party.

A judge signed a murder warrant Friday afternoon. The officer, Roy Oliver, has not been arrested and could turn himself into authorities . Bond is set for $300,000. Murder is punishable by up to life in prison.

Oliver, 37, fired a rifle into a car full of teenagers as it drove away from a party Saturday night, striking the Mesquite High freshman in the head.

Balch Springs Police Chief Jonathan Haber said he terminated the six-year veteran of the department for violating policies, though he has refused to provide specifics.

The warrant

Oliver and a second officer, both wearing body cameras, went into the "house party" in the 12000 block of Baron Drive. They were talking to the host when they heard what sounded like gunshots, the arrest warrant affidavit says.

Both cops went outside to see what was going on and saw several people running toward the corner of Shepherd Lane and Baron Drive. The second officer walked toward the area where he thought the shots has been fired.

Oliver went to the patrol car and got his rifle, a Modern Carbine, Model MC5.

The second officer tried to stop a black Chevrolet Impala at the intersection. The car slowly reversed and the second officer pulled his gun and walked toward the passenger side of the car.

As the car started to drive forward, the officer used his gun to break the rear passenger window.

That's when Oliver got behind the officer and fired several rounds into the car as it drove past him.

Other Balch Springs officers stopped the car in the 12000 block of Bishop Drive, about two blocks from the party. Jordan Edwards had a gunshot wound to his head. He was taken to Baylor by helicopter.

Dallas County investigators retrieved four rifle cartridges from the intersection of Shepherd Lane and Baron Drive and took Oliver's rifle into evidence.

The warrant says Oliver "committed this offense while he intended to cause serious bodily injury in an act clearly dangerous to human life."

Youngest fatally shot by police

Jordan is the youngest of 333 people shot and killed by police in the U.S. this year, according to The Washington Post, which is tracking police shootings nationwide. In 2016, according to The Post, 963 people were fatally shot by police. In 2015, the number was 991.

Eight out of 10 Balch Springs police officers are white -- though 4 out of 5 five residents are not.

Oliver is the second Dallas-area officer charged with murder in the last two years. Farmers Branch officer Ken Johnson was indicted on a murder charge last year after a March 2016 shooting that killed 16-year-old Jose Cruz and wounded his friend. Johnson was off duty and out of uniform at the time of the killing. Johnson resigned.

Last year, a Dallas County judge declared a mistrial in the case of a fired Garland police officer accused of manslaughter for firing 41 shot at a man, three of which struck and killed him, after a high-speed chase. Patrick Tuter's indictment in 2013 was the first time in 15 years that a Dallas County grand jury indicted an officer in a fatal shooting.

Wtf was the point of tryna break the window and then shooting into the car? You know it's an underage party just run the plate and pay the lil niggas house a visit later.

Now you just look stupid lying with a body cam.

DALLAS (AP) — The Latest on the shooting of a black teenager by a white police officer in suburban Dallas (all times local):

8:15 p.m.

A white former Texas police officer has turned himself in to authorities to face a murder charge in the shooting of a black teenager who was inside a car leaving a party.

An arrest warrant was issued Friday for former Balch Springs police officer Roy Oliver, accusing him of murder in the death of 15-year-old Jordan Edwards. Oliver turned himself in Friday night to the Parker County Jail in Weatherford, about 95 miles west of Dallas.

Bond has been set at $300,000.

Oliver fired a rifle at a car full of teenagers leaving a party April 29, killing Edwards.

All they know how to do is Escalate... the first pig used his gun to break the window, so that encouraged the murderer to shoot even more.. they fed off each other

If any one remembers the Oscar Grant murder... 1 pig unnecessarily punched Oscars boy in the gut which prompted the murderer to unnecessarily shoot Oscar.. they fed off each other
