i liked it. it was scary because it was so subtle & creepy. didn't have a bunch of leading music, not a lotta cheap scares of shit popping up on the screen randomly.

From A Sound Design Standpoint One Best Movies Ever In That Regard...Very Underrated Movie ..It Was A Unfairly Criticized
Potato sack face was scary as shit standing in the backround and the part where liv tyler opens the curtain and hes right there made my hair stand up. I was watching this with my friends one time and they wasnt feelin it though. But the best part about the movie is when liv tyler is like "why are you doing this?" And the lady was like "because you were home"

shit was dope i love movies like this watched it with my ex and she was clinging to me lol...i thought The Purge was this movies sequel when i 1st seen that trailer...i liked that it had a bad ending and not the cliche "they survived and the killers got caught" ending
I liked The Strangers. Watched it for the first time with my wife and kids in a secluded cabin we rented while on vacation....lights off a couple of lit candles and surround sound! We're weird like that but it was fun. The creepy ass folk music though...when the record started skipping...MAN!
