don't know why but i felt like watching this movie last night so popped in the blu-ray. I forgot that it is the Director's cut.. I don't remember some of the scenes with Sam Jackson from when I used to watch this as a kid.
anyway, yea this still holds up overall. a lot of the acting from the kids in this movie + Cain is wack at times.. but that would be my only criticism. some bad over-acting is easily made up by Charles S. Dutton in a classic role and cat who played O-Dog put in tremendous work. also Sam Jackson is fuckin hilarious, he's pretty much Jewels Winfield in his younger more reckless days.
