In the comics I think it was Leo who got jumped I could be wrong tho

And I hated the kid friendly approach they took after the 1st one I mean the comics were dark ..didn't Leo cut off shredders head at one point

You're correct. This the only medium where raph was jumped instead. Mirage, tmnt 2k3 and tmnt nick kept it Leo

classic shit, I put the remake on for my son and turned that shit off after 5 mins, the part with the train at the start scared him so fuck the remake, I remember as a kid I was constantly renting the og from the video shop.

This joint came out in the wake of Batman which was also pretty dark for a kids movie and it worked out just fine.

I dont know why they went the CGI route with the new one. Man in a turtle suit worked just fine for me and made the fight scenes better.

I also prefer the depiction of Shredder in 90 Turtles. Classic shit.

There's absolutely nothing about that steaming pile of dog shit that usurped the og flick in any way.

The Nick cartoon might be the best interpretation of the Turtles and it laid out a nice template the studio could have followed, but they had to be douchebags and fuck shit up.
