Police Chief Kerr Putney has said the footage does not provide “absolute, definitive visual evidence that would confirm that a person is pointing a gun. I didn’t see that in the videos I reviewed.”

Sooo.. that means His officers lied. Of course he wont say that.

The only reason he still ain't release it is because the tapes didn't show Keith Scott running around with a gun like a madman like they trying to make it seem...if they had evidence supporting their story shit would've been out within a hour of the shooting..

TYT made a good point though...at this point it seems like the chief is investigating his own officers because he may not even be sure that the gun they claim to have found wasn't planted...especially with them circulating a picture of what was supposed to be a gun next to his body which alot of people are saying is a glove based on the video that the family put out

The police initially said that they recovered a gun at the scene...but they didn't know if it was loaded or not (huh? seem like if you found a gun it would be pretty easy to figure out if it's loaded or not unless the gun's imaginary)

I'm still mad at that shit. She had a clear shot but moved the camera right before the shots. Somebody is going to grill her over that. The "don't you do it Keith" right when she moved the camera. People need to do better man.

She was talking to the officers when she said "don't you do it".... She was pleading with her husband to get out the car the whole time

But yea I've already seen cacs, members of the media using the video as proof Keith wasn't being compliant so the shooting was justified

All things considered though I can't fault her for what transgressed

In her position I would've been tripping

And has it been confirmed why they even approached their truck in the first place?

I think it's funny how when assimilation fails people double-down on being black. I remember how I used to try to get people to understand the outrage of the Oscar Grant situation, but people were so skeptical about white supremacy in law enforcement. The ones who would pay attention would say shit like, "if Oscar didn't do such anch such, he probably would have survived." They didn't believe a black person could be killed for no reason. Charlotte police chief:

The release comes one day after a video recorded by Keith Scott's widow was released publicly. Putney said the cell phone recording didn't factor into his decision to release dashcam and body-camera video of the fatal shooting.

"Our practice and our protocol is to release as soon as we can, to inform," Putney said, adding that he waited until the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation assured him it would not adversely impact its investigation.
