Which one are you arguing? Science makes a claim and sets out to disprove or maintain that claim. Many explorers were hesitant to explore cos they believed they'd "fall off" due to a belief on Biblical interpretation of the earth. No book has held man from progress than the Bible.

Evolution doesn't say that humans evolved from Apes. That's a common misconception. It says that humans and apes have a common ancestor.
